In April 2020, BuildVietInfo consultants completed the Final Evaluation of the The Ha Tinh Agricultural Development Project.

The project, supported by Canada with a total budget of CAD $10 million, ended in September, 2018, after 7 years of implementation. The project was implemented with targeted budget support and a program-based approach (PBA) whereby funds were directly provided to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) in Ha Tinh province.

The project’s overall objective was to expand economic opportunities for poor rural men and women in Ha Tinh Province, focusing on (i) Identification and implementation of key priorities within the province’s 5-year Agriculture and Rural Development Plan based on market-based analyses and consultations with key stakeholders; (ii) Construction of priority small-scale infrastructure works fostering agriculture and rural development in selected communes/districts; and (iii) Strengthening public management relating to agricultural development.
